Justin August

Biography

Justin August has been attempting to re-create the essence of the “Renaissance Man” with his dabbling in almost everything that peaks his interest. Born in San Diego and raised in various regions of California, Justin noticed at a young age his minds eye was constantly wondering, always peering into others livelihoods to see if there was another part of life he may be missing. Coming from a divorced back round, with a Christian regimented Patriarchal side and a maternal side which was more than leisure and deemed more of a “Sunday Catholic Family”, all morals and ethics out the window the other 6 days a week, he was quick to establish at a young age his curiosity in anything not his own.

Thru the years Justin developed a keen interest in public address, journalism and radio. His career began at 15 at a jazz station in Humboldt County, Northern California, concurrently while attending high school and working as Photo editor of the high school newspaper. Later after high school and moving back to San Diego, he continued working with local rock stations and became a club DJ as well. This path eventually led him to travel through out the United States, playing music for clubs and parties across the nation. Not coincidently this led to his love for travel and new sights and sounds. Justin, now finds himself based in southern California again after many years in Miami Florida. Besides the aforementioned, Justin has also been a Substitute teacher for the public school system on the Navajo Reservation in Chinle Arizona as well as worked on Television and music video sets in several locations. His love for public address has not changed or haltered and he now consumes his time with writing and spending time with his dog Karen. And still, the Renaissance Man laments, “There is so much more life to live.”

While autumn may not bring the famous soft powder snow, a true blessing from the ski and snowboard gods, it does have the chill of winter creeping in with fresh air and a soft breeze that may give your nose a little hint of red. This time of year also allows you to check out the town like the locals and really enjoy its charm before the snow dumps and the crowds pour in.
