Jane Emory holds a BFA in performing arts from Adelphi University. Jane is a journalist, choreographer, experimental theater/ short film and local TV producer. A member and graduate of the Ethical Culture Fieldston New York. Jane has traveled to Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia in Brazil. Florence and Tuscany in Italy. Chinatown’s Hip NightlifeMany years ago, in Manhattan, the Soul Kitchen at the Supper Club was one of the most exclusive and coveted events to attend. It was home to electric live jazz and the most in demand DJ's in New York at the time. It promised nothing short of an ecstatic night.
On the second and fourth Friday of each month, Los Angeles' Chinatown is home to a similar exhilarating nightlife. People gather here to experience artists, musicians and DJ's from across the globe.
Romantic Downtown Los AngelesA romantic alley in downtown Los Angeles? Or as I like to call it-Hell with a zip code. It is so dirty! I can't find parking. "Just find street parking" my date tells me. This guy, Chris, has been in LA for three months and owns a motorcycle, doesn't he know there is no such thing as street parking at lunchtime in Hell. " Pull your car in. I'll pay for parking." At $20 per minute I think.
