    Exploring Portland's Westside

A dense fog-blanketed morning gives way to rain. The Northwest wind pulls at Douglas Firs. It is the kind of day most people imagine who haven't been to Portland, Oregon and know it mostly for its weather statistics. Officially known as the city of roses, Portland boasts much more than blooms and rain. This people-friendly city is a sophisticated urban playground best known for its microbrew beer, Stumptown coffee, bridges, bikes and books.

    San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf

San Francisco, known for its eclectic style, offers endless opportunities for exploration. One of the cities most popular and famous destinations is Fisherman's Wharf.

Well-known for its historic waterfront, fresh fish stands, first class restaurants, Pier 39 and unique shopping; it is also the launching point for everything from Ghirardelli Square, the Maritime Museum, Alcatraz, Coit Tower and of course, the world famous San Francisco Cable Car. And to top it off, it is one of the best spots in the city to take in the incredible views of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge.

    Portland’s Gluten-Free Scene

Portland, as many food lovers know, is a culinary mecca. Rarely though, do most equate gluten-free as gastronomic pleasure, but instead as tasteless, cardboard bread look-a-likes. Today's gluten-free foods have come along way from barely edible to almost undetectable as far as texture and flavor go and many Portland restaurants are celebrating with gluten-free entrees and menus. We even have a few 100% gluten free establishments.
